UX Research Lead for PSI, New_ Public
Abby is a former Professor of Spanish and Linguistics and current UX Researcher with deep expertise in how language and society intersect. Her PhD is in Applied Linguistics, specializing in sociolinguistics and language learning, with focus on how people communicate online.
She’s lead UX Research and Content Strategy across multiple industries and has worked with Google, Calendly, Princeton University, Medtronic, and Best Buy, to name a few. She currently leads UX Research for New_ Public’s Public Spaces Incubator. She was previously the UX Research Lead for Android’s Expression and Emoji team, where she worked on Generative AI projects focused on helping Android users express themselves via their cell phones and messaging services.
